When a painter is fully accredited and owns his own painting company he becomes a Master Journeyman. This is where the name Master Painting proudly originated. In 1981 Matthew moved to Hilton Head and Master Painting flourished. Over the last 35 years Matthews talent for painting and his expertise on the materials available have made him a local favorite in the Hilton Head, Bluffton area. Matthew is an amazing colorist, he patiently works with his clients to achieve the best hue and sheen for each project. The south has it's own challenges for painters and the materials they work with. That is where experience working in one locale is invaluable. Knowing which paint to use and how to apply it is an important aspect of being a successful painter. When clients comment on Matthews work I hear the same 3 things over and over. He is meticulous on quality, cleanliness and the speed with which he executes a project. Often Matthew will video a home room by room, disassemble each, paint and perfectly re- assemble the home while clients are out of town. Matthew is married to artist Nancy Mitchell and together they have 3 adult children, 3 dogs and a thriving painting company. Matt and Nancy live in the same community where they work and count many previous and current clients as friends and extended family.
